4/8/2010
In his new role, Mr Nicholls will be responsible for encouraging sales growth of HVG’s far-reaching range of decorative building products for the architectural, building and construction industries in Western Australia. He brings to the company a wealth of hands-on experience in building and construction, having worked in the construction industry off and on as a trade assistant for nearly two decades. “I’ve constructed home extensions, renovated houses, gutted and reclad interiors, and fitted kitchens and bathrooms. But I consider my true industry to be selling and I’m looking forward to developing a strong and lasting relationship with customers in my role with HVG,” said Mr Nicholls. HVG’s building products portfolio includes the popular CREAstyle and CREAmetal ranges of high pressure laminates, Zenolite – the alternative to glass panels, SmartStone engineered Quartz and Marble, Dibond aluminium composite material and the Seratone lightweight, high-density fibreboards. Mr Nicholls already has experience working with the HVG range, having most recently served as a kitchen design consultant and sales representative for Ross's Makeovers, a cabinet making business that used both the CREAstyle and Zenolite products. In a diverse career, he has also worked in the airline, hospitality and leisure industries. “Shane’s wide-ranging sales experience and familiarity with the HVG brand made him an ideal candidate for the Account Manager position and I’ve no doubt he will be a valuable asset in helping us to expand our building products presence in Western Australia,” said John Wood, WA Branch Manager, Halifax Vogel Group.
